Calm Morning

Happy Wednesday Morning...

I finally have some time to catch up on my blogging. 

Today there is no school volunteering, no running errands, just staying home and catching up. 

Ahhhhhhh.... now where is my coffee.

A Day of Firsts...

Today was the first day of first grade for my baby... and the first day of sixth for my big girl. Gulp!

I think it was the hardest for me because it was the hardest for my big girl. Harder even than last year, and they knew no one. 

One more hour and I will be off to get them. 

The wait is killing me.

Start of a new School year woes....

Good morning.

We are having a very easy going, last day before school starts. 

My girls are not to happy. The new school year bubble has burst. 

Unfortunately, none of their good friends are in their classes. My youngest one, who starts 1st grade is taking it in stride, being the social butterfly that she is, she knows that she will soon make many new freinds. My 6th grader, however, this is the end of the world. All of her new classmates are the ones she really didnt like last year. There is one or two that she actually had words with last year, and one that steals just about anything she can get her hands on. The teacher is not the one she wanted, but as far as I am concerned, is a good second choice, and her closest buddies are split in all directions. 

I am hoping that once she starts, that she will find ways to connect with them in other ways. 

Please, please, please, let this year be a good one for both of them.

Autumn Whites...

Hello, 

Happy Monday. We are officially on the back to school countdown. 10 days until school starts and getting back to order can begin.

And when that happens, All I can think about is Fall.

Pumpkin spice everything.

YUM!

But before that can happen, we have a yard sale, back to school night, and first week back. 

In the meantime, I am thinking about decorating with whites this fall. I think it may actually happen this year, (I talk about it every year).

Fresh Veggies

I am so sad we didnt get to plant the garden we wanted this year, definately a plan for next summer, but the next best thing, neighbors who take great care of us. 

Love the fresh veggies they are bringing us. 

And my girls are great helpers chopping and freezing.

County Fair fun...

I don't know where the time goes.

Summer has flown by, my girls are starting school in a few weeks and we are trying to squeeze in as many activities as possible.

Yesterday was the county fair, tonight is a carnival if the weather holds out.

Whew!!! 

I am tired already!

All I know is I will be happy when fall gets here.

Happy Friday!

Today is officially a month away from the first day of school. While I love Summer, my girls and I love back to school shopping! 

Yesterday we shopped for supplies... so much fun.  Today we are doing some clothes shopping. 

Before we head out...

Clearing out irrigation ditches might not sound like fun, but I love it. Riding atv' s, kids catching bugs, as well as planning for future gardens and possibilities!

Back to School...

Hello, Happy Wednesday!

Back to school supplies are steadily rolling in. We ran into Walmart today for a few items and couldnt resist picking up these awesome notebooks and folders by Duck Dynasty's Sadie Robertson. My daughter loves her and she really loved these. 

Now for the big supply purchase... ugh.

Tilda Papercrafting...

Hello, happy happy Monday!

We had a fun fun weekend. Full of work and play.

Monsoon season is here and we are getting a lot of rain as well as cool nights. Last week, I was able to catch up on some organizing and playing around with my Tilda paper. It was a good day!

Grey Obsession....

I am loving these new pillows and grey curtains from Ikea....

Not to mention this large lantern that I have been wanting for some time. I can't wait to use it for all the upcoming holidays...

These amazing canvas baskets were my favorite find at Ross... perfect for holding yarn and stuff...

Then I finally painted my Ikea stool that I have had for over 2 years. Battleship grey... goes great with all my other Grey's and it was free, we already had it around the house.

This great little cart was my yard sale find at $5. Perfect for my craft items. The grey boxes were 50% off at Hobby lobby....

And last, I have been wanting one of these letters forever and Hobby Lobby had them 50% off as well...

Hello!!! Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great July 4th Weekend!

Ours was great! 

I am happy to be getting things done and organized around the house. Summer seems to be moving by fast. Back to school catalogs have started arriving in the mail and my girls are already talking about new backpacks. 

Until then.... I  will just enjoy my Grey's.
