Today is put the Christmas stuff away day. I have big plans for swiffering, dusting, and watching my new friend vacuum! 

I am so excited about this gift. I love it.

We are so very happy to be home. Hubbies surgery went well, pathology came back clear...

And hope is back on track.

Metal Beverage Cart Redo

Happy Monday!!

It was a busy weekend. Much to short. 
Summer break can not get here fast enough. 

My father in law surprised me with the fun cart. I didn't get a before picture but it was rusty metal and orange paint. I used a brown metalic spray paint. I love it. 
Can't wait to use it in so many ways.

Sirens were going off, pool chairs were in the bottom of the pool, and hail was hitting the Windows. It was interesting being on the top floor when it rolled in. 

And more shopping... American girl and Ikea to name a few...

Whew!! 

We are finally home. What a great two weeks filled with friends, family and shopping!!! I feel so full of contentment and happiness. My girls are thrilled with our adventures the last two weeks. We were able to visit with our far away best friends not once but two times. We saw many great things and I believe accomplished all things we wanted to. 

And now we are happily home! 

Time to have fun with all the treasures we found! Stay tuned!

Master Bedroom Remodel Plans....

Hello! Happy New Year!

Now that Christmas is over and we are officially into the New Year... 2015...

I am looking forward to our Summer plans. 

This past August we moved into a small 2 bedroom mobile home... Ugh. 

I know. 

But being that it was my grandparents place and on a large piece of land, and the price was right, we decided to go ahead. 

Now our original plans were to pull it off and build a house, but since I think we are quite a few years down the road from that, mostly because our wish list for our dream house is still a bit out of reach (budget), we have decided to build onto the existing home. I have been researching ideas and it looks like a doable endeavor. 

We will start with enclosing the porch and making a mud room sun porch, and adding a master bedroom suite. I cant wait.

Good Morning!

Can we talk about owls for a moment. 

You may have noticed my latest obsession.

I love owls. 

My girls and husband have been wonderful in helping with my collection. My best friend gifted me the large mercury glass one and my mom bought me the light up basket. 

I watched the cookie jar (Keurig coffee holder), plates and salt pepper shakers till they went on sale at Walmart, and the ornaments and tree topper were surprising finds at Pier 1. I love them. The only thing that could be better.... seeing one in our trees. I am always on the lookout.

Kitchen Plans....

Cute, believe it or not, roomier than the one we had, more cabinets, but just needs a few updates. 

Hello! 

I am looking for ideas for some remodel plans. 

The house we are living in is much smaller than we had before. It is temporary, for a year or two and belonged to my grandparents. Since its free to us, but too small for longterm, we are are going to do a few upgrades just to make it livable. 

On that list is a new kitchen sink. I can live with the counters, but a new sink and faucet are a must. I really like faucets with the pull down sprayer and I love love love the look of farmhouse apron sinks. 

Some other things on our short list, that is a must  is a new refrigerator... the 30 year old one that is here, that does not have an ice maker... is definately going!

Thirty One Bags...

Hello, happy Sunday!

I am so happy to be up before my kiddos and hubby today. I am enjoying my coffee, looking through pinterest, and finding so many wonderful ways to use my thirty one bags. I am loving all the great ways people use them. I love these bags, gave quite a few for Christmas gifts this year. I am lucky (maybe) to know two lovely ladies that sell them and they love to tell me all the ways to use them as well.

Baskets Blankets and Owls....

My kids are always tossing my pillows and blankets off of the couch. So I set up this vintage laundry basket to hold what is not in use. I love it.

Ikea Toy Storage Ideas...

 This is a great idea for all the stuffed friends we have....

 I love the areas for dress up clothes... a serious clutter issue for us for sure...

Next week is Spring Break and we will be heading to the big city and going to Ikea. So I have been raiding the catalog and website and planning my visit because you know you have to do that if you want to ever get out of the place at a decent hour. I am planning a serious overhaul of my girls rooms this Spring, starting with toy storage. I seriously feel like I have been overrun, not just by toys, but by linens, and clutter, and just everything. I just don't feel like there is ever an end to it all. So its time to just eliminate as much as possible. 

I love that I can find such great ideas on Pinterest.
