Fall, Apples, and Starbucks

Beautiful Fall Day!

Apple picking, and Starbucks. I just love this season!

It has been a hard few weeks. I had a shake up at work. My boss and good friend has recently resigned and I am still a little heart broken. Change is often good but also so hard in the beginning. I am hesitant about the change to come, new boss, new ways of doing things at work. But I have faith that it will all be okay. I just take each day as it comes. And focus on our goals. On top of that, I had to break plans with our good friends because of scheduling conflicts. While I am happy to work and move forward with home goals. Its hard to have to forfeit other plans as well. I miss my friend and her girls too and I hope to see them soon. I know it will all be okay....

But Fall fun and a little Starbucks helps!

Bare Trees...Winter Around The Corner

Bare trees in the Mountains. Got to enjoy a hike in the high country a few weeks ago. Most of the leaves have already fallen, snows in the air. 

Not as soon as where we used to live, but coming soon enough. At our house we still have a few green leaves that haven't turned yet mixed in with the yellow and brown. But its starting. There is more on the ground than on the trees. 

I am anxious for 2017. This last year has been such a roller coaster. I admit, last December when we found out my Hubs had Cancer, all I could think about was living my life alone. How was I going to be a single mom, how was I going to raise my girls alone, how was I going to survive this. So much uncertainty, and sadness. I couldn't hardly talk about it without crying. Even typing now is hard. But through the year, I have learned so much about this disease. I have learned to have hope, to be positive, to keep going. I have seen such strength in him, in our kids. We have met some amazing people, been through so much. Been supported by our amazing friends, family and Doctors. Yes the medical bills are overwhelming, and our credit is suffering, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. 2017 will be better and hope will overcome any doubt. I am sure of it. I am looking forward and enjoying the quiet of the Thanksgiving Holiday to come. Halloween gets put away this week, and the Turkeys come out.

Today I am working on cutting up and cooking up applesauce. So very many apples and I am looking for quick easy ways to use them. My crispers are full, my sink is full, and the bottom shelf of my refrigerator is full. Gotta use them up because we cant eat them that fast. 

YUM! I can't wait for all the applesauce recipes. Applesauce cake... applesauce muffins...

Fun Fall Decor

Heading out today to get our big fluffy dog groomed. 

I have been battling with myself on the working issue. I currently sub at school when needed but as Winter rears its ugly head, I find that I would rather be home and making money here somehow. So I am now trying to make money with my blog. There is so much info on the web how to do this and its my new obsession. Surely if others do it, I can too. But finding the perfect balance of enjoying my little blog, but making some Grocery money in the process is the goal. In the meantime, I am enjoying Fall, taking more pictures, which I have gotten really bad at, and enjoying my girls since they seem to be growing way to fast.

School activities, dance class, meetings and then finally a 4 day weekend full of Birthday celebrations and hopefully some Fall hiking and picture taking.

Duct Tape and Crochet Pumpkins

Time for some pumpkin love. Everyday feels more and more like Fall.

One of these pumpkins are crocheted by me... Fun. The other one is a cheap craft pumpkin taped up with a fun floral tape I picked up while traveling. 

I love them. I could have pumpkins all over the house but I am trying to limit myself. Just not enough space for my creativity to bloom.

Pee-wee Cheerleading Camp...

We had a great weekend.  Starting with baby girl following in big sisters footsteps.

Last week she had cheer camp with the high school cheerleaders and got to perform at the game.  It was the pink out game in support of breast cancer awareness. 

She was so happy, and big sis was so excited that she got to watch and cheer for her!
