Halloween Catch up

Happy November 25th!
Alot has happened in the last month. So Let me catch you up.
Halloween went by in a blur. Lots of school activities followed by the school play. The kids had fun as usual dressing up. But it all went really fast. Now we are in November and looking forward to Christmas. Whew! Its just crazy fast.

Halloween Recap

Hello!!!
 Happy November!!
Just a quick Halloween Recap before jumping into Thanksgiving and Christmas.
We are ready for the holidays. All the Halloween has been put away. There are still a few harvest items scattered around, and the Fall scents are still in the candle burners, but there are small amounts of Holiday creeping in. My girls outdid themselves as usual. My youngest made a great Harley Quinn, and My oldest, a very Goulish Diamond Skeleton. She did such a great job on her makeup. So very proud of her.
WE did as much as we could, tried to squeeze as much Halloween into the few weeks we had. The drive to do it all just about did me in. But I am not ready to give any of it up.
Have a fabulous week!!!

Everything Halloween in One Day

Hello, Happy Sunday!
I am finally able to sit down. I feel like I am doing everything for Halloween in one day. I have to say, going back to work has been great, fun even. I feel good about it, my kids do not seem lacking in any way, and its nice making money and contributing that way.
The downside... I can not get stuff done. I am not talking about the everyday stuff. I am talking about the fun stuff. And this Halloween has been a huge eye opener. Its so hard to be that mom who always does the fun stuff when I am just plain tired. Those traditions that I hold so dear, are stressful and a chore. I still do them, knowing if I dont, I will regret it. My kids and husband look at me like I am crazy. But I just tell myself, one day, they will appreciate it.
Ha ha. I know I will always be glad I did it. Have a great week!!

Grandin Road Dreaming

Happy Sunday!
I am drooling over the Grandin Road catalog. I love them all year round, but I especially love them during Halloween.
Such fun ideas. Oh if I just had the space to decorate the way I want to. One day!
Have a great rest of your weekend. I am relaxing.

Monster Bark

Monster Bark!

Happy October 25th!
(I have to say this....) Only Two months till Christmas!
Ha Ha...
Sorry, I had to. I am so excited, Halloween is right around the corner. Kids are getting excited for dressing up. I am super glad my 12 year old still wants to dress up and go trick or treating with her family. I don't know how long that will happen and I feel like I am holding on with both hands, legs wrapped around her, fighting to keep her from growing up too fast. I know I can't stop it, but I will slow it down. Lol.
One of the ways that seems to work is by cooking and crafting for the Holidays as much as I can.
Yesterday we made Monster bark. So easy and so much fun. The girls loved it.

Here is the recipe:
Melt two bags semi sweet chocolate chips in Microwave,
line a cookie sheet with wax paper,
spread chocolate in thin layer on sheet,
and sprinkle whatever fun candy you can find on the layer.
Refrigerate for a few hours, remove and break into pieces. Store in fridge for snacking later.

YUM!!!

Have a wonderful day!
