American Girl Lea Rainforest Hut DIY

Hello, Happy happy Tuesday.

I am finally catching up on stuff. The weather is wonderful, and I had a wonderful weekend of junking and thrifting. Something that just makes me sooo happy.

Its really nice when you actually feel ahead of the game instead of always trying to catch up.

Onward and upward. 

For now, I just had to share out fun project from this weekend. 

My youngest daughter was super excited to see all the American Girl Lea stuff while visiting the Scottsdale American Girl store a few weeks ago. 

Of course she wanted to buy, but anyone who has been there knows, probably not going to happen. Expensive.
SOOOO, we looked around the house and found some old baskets, and some hula grass and with a little fabric, and hot glue, we made our own.

I love it when a plan comes together.

~ My Little Artist ~

Today we are heading over to enter some drawings in the county fair. My Big girl drew these wonderful horses with oil crayons and I matted them. I love the brown horse the best and have every intention of framing after the fair. Good luck big girl.

Pure Sweet Puppies. My Aunts dog had puppies and they were the big hit of the weekend. My big girl loved and named each one. So sad we couldnt bring one home but thats ok, I am sure they will go to good homes.

~ Rehearsal Day ~

This post was already scheduled and then something happened. So here it goes...

Today was dress rehearsal for dance class and...  whew now its done and we are ready for the recital!

All the little girls and boys looked so cute... I can't wait!

Last night was our Pirate play. I think all the kids looked and sounded great. On to the next performance...

Garnet Hill

I am really loving Garnet Hill lately. There regular home and womens catalog is lovely and I have alot of favorites in there. But Today I LOVE the kids Growing up Garnet Hill. It is full of the most delicious pastel floaty light fabrics and sweet accessories. It is summer in a catalog. I find myself looking at it over again, and wishing for warmth. I know it will be here before we know it. All the stores are filling up with Spring merchandise, and the TV sales channels are selling plants as well as plant catalogs coming in the mail. But the next two months are usually pretty long around here. Lets just say  -1 degrees this morning didnt inspire any confidence.
