Cold, Dreary, Soup and Fresh Bread Sort of Day....

Hello! Happy Friday.

Today is the 3rd cold day this week. Today is cloudy and there is a forecast of rain snow mix, so crockpot soup and fresh baked bread is on th menu tonight. It is a good day to catch up on blogging, laundry and sorting junk mail. Just a easy stay inside kind of day.

My decorations say otherwise though.... herbs doing well, bees and honey pots sitting around, as well as a geranium getting ready to bloom. Happiness!

Spring Planning

Hello!

Happy Wednesday.

Half of the week is over, 2 more days till the weekend. 6 more weeks of school, end is in sight and I have to say I am ready for Summers lazy days. Not to mention, travels to see friends. 

It was cold today, much of Colorado getting snow. Not us, but cold anyways.

Nothing a visit to the Greenhouse down the road wouldn't fix.

Spring Business...

Happy Monday Morning!

We have been busy busy...

Weather's great, yard is growing, trees blooming and the clean up is never ending, but I love it!

Last Thursday, at our school PTA meeting, the staff surprised us with a lovely thank you breakfast. It was great!

I am really liking being part of this school and organization.

Every year we try some fun new technique, but in the end, the dye cups always work the best!

Easter Fun...

Happy Saturday! One more day till Easter. Spring break flew by, Easter is tomorrow, then back to school for two months. I am already looking forward to Summer break.

11 Year Olds Birthday Celebration...

Good morning, happy Friday! A week ago we celebrated my oldest daughters 11th birthday.

I admit it was an emotional day for me watching time pass by so fast, wishing it would just slow down a little...
All while still revelling in the amazing person she is becoming. I love having conversations with her, hearing her amazing opinions on what she sees going on in her world. I am so blessed to be part of it.

Springtime

Hello!

I know it's been awhile, things have been hectic around here. Once the weather gets nice, the work really begins. 

We have been cleaning, burning, raking, and trimming everything around our property. And the irrigation water hasn't even turned on yet. 

Throw in school, school events and a few spring colds and things just stay busy. 

But I will just stay content with watching everything come alive around me, 

Magic !

Chocolate Bunnies...

Happy March 18th!

St. Patricks day is over, and while I want to throw myself into total Easter awesomeness, I have a preteen birthday next week. We are going to just go low key this year, but I will decorate for her like usual. I cant believe she will be 11. Time has flown by so fast. 

On another note, last weekend I took some time to do a craft I saw online. 

I painted vintage bunny figurines to look like Chocolate. Much healthier, less calories...

I bought inexpensive figurines like these off of Ebay, (afterwards, I saw cheap ones at Walmart... oh well), and then for about 4 dollars, I bought this Krylon Chocolate brown spray paint. It took a few coats....

But I think they turned out great.  Now for some jelly beans or hard boiled eggs.
