~ Computer Cabinet ~

Hello, happy Saturday!  Its a snowy one here. So what better than blogging and coffee.

I was super lucky to find this cabinet at a online yardsale for $50 and it was just what I needed to clean up my computer space. 

This is the before pic. I brought this awesome cabinet home, cleaned it up and hooked up all the computer stuff... Now for the fun stuff.

After doing lots of Internet research, I found so many great ideas. But since I wasn't ready to paint or wallpaper at this time, since I am really digging the natural wood, I decided accessories were the way to go.

I purchased these awesome cork panels at Walmart and they came with sticky tabs to attach them to the doors. 

I also decided that I needed some folders for important stuff... to be determined later. 

And of course I needed some cool tacks, I had some bullet ones my husband made and some cute little tack men I bought a while back. ( I am planning on adding some cute paper banners at a later time).

This is starting to turn into a great little work station. Just what I needed to blog from.

(not to mention blog inspiration)

Command strips makes these great cord minders that I attached all the USB cables to, I love that they are not just laying around now. 

One of my favorite favorite favorit purchases, these chicken wire baskets at Walmart. My only regret is that I didnt get more, they are gone now of course. 

The finished product. All the work stuff tucked away nicely. 

I am truly happy.

Well Hello Winter....

Well it looks like Winter is finally making an appearance. And it looks like its planning on staying for a while. I actually dont mind. Spring was coming too soon.

Valentine Catch Up

Happy Wednesday!

I know its been almost two weeks since Valentines day, but I couldnt resist posting about our fun Valentines. 

My girls had a blast. My youngest filled fun bags of goodies, and my oldest did water bottle valentines with a koolade drink pack and straw attached. They were a hit. 

I also did the "you are the balm" labels on some fun lip balm for the teachers. 

It was a great day!

~Snow Day~

Because even Bunnies like snow... right?

Hello, Happy Monday. 

I am crazy happy. Its not because of the snow, I could have done without that. But because I dont have to drive in it. 

SNOW DAY!!!!

I have to say, where we lived before, we got feet of snow, sub zero temps, rediculous blizzards and snowed in passes...

and we still went to school. 

Not here!!!

I get a quiet morning, kids sleeping in, snow falling and crocpot crocking with Chicken tortilla soup, well my version of it anyway.

YUM!

Now for some coffee, cinnamon rolls and fixer upper

(my new favorite show on dvr)

The only way this could get better would be scrapbooking with my best friend. 

If only.

Home Made Soap....

Good Sunday Morning!

I am happy to say, I am finally going to start something I have always wanted to do. I just ordered everything I need to start making soap. I have always thought it sounded fun, and I love to look at and smell all the wonderful soaps people make when I go to farmers markets. So I am happy to say, I am going to give it a try. Stay tuned, hopefully my soaps turn out as beautifully as the ones on Pinterest.

Stormy Saturday...

Hello! 

Happy Saturday....

It has been forever since I blogged. I am not sure why. 

Sure we have had school stuff, parties, meetings, etc. And I have been focused lately on de cluttering and pulling stuff out of my house for a garage sale. And throw in a particularly nasty stomach bug that seems to be working itself through our house and you've got "not a whole lot" of blogging going on.

I am still feeling a little woosey here and there, but for the most part I seem to be getting back into the groove. 

Yesterday, I was finally able to clean house, take down all the Valentines decor and freshen up candles and stuff. 

My new favorite, fresh smells.

So out of my Candle reserves came Meadow showers. 

Loving it, especially since it looks like its gonna rain/snow.

What a super fun craft. We used torn fabric, ribbon, styrafoam bowls, and hot glued googly eyes on the front. A little marker design on the outside of the bowl. Perfect.

Tea Cart Envy...

Happy Wednesday!

I dont know if I have mentioned it lately, but I am really looking forward to Yard sale season.

One of the items I have on my wish list is a tea cart or bar cart. I do have my rolling cart from Ikea, which I love, but I also want one of these as a table or storage space near my front door. My best friend has one that I have admired for many years and now I really think I want one. Would go nicely in my remodeled front porch, when that happens. Ha Ha. 

Oh well, dream, dream, dream.

Front Porch Plans...

Good Morning!

Today is going to be a beautiful day!

The stormy weather has passed and the birds are singing, it has me thinking about Springtime plans. We are currently planning on a porch remodel. It has not been decided exactly what we will be doing, however, these pictures are what I want. My husband keeps throwing around the idea of screening the porch in, but I want windows, and white paint, and curtains, and coat racks and shoe cubbies... the list goes on and on. I want a living space, not just a screened in, only useable for part of the year, space. 

I will get my way, I usually do.
