Greengate Winter 2014 Catalog...

I am sooo excited. The Greengate Winter Catalog for 2014 is out online. Love them. I just know one day I will go to their website to look longingly at the beautiful pictures and I will find out that you can buy their stuff here in the USA. Its a dream I know. But maybe someday. Until then they will just be inspiration.

Happy Summer Days...

Hello, Happy Happy Monday!

Our week is starting pretty great. The weekend flew by, but was wonderful. Lots of good times with family for my birthday.

Then today started Vacation Bible School for the girls...

They love love love the group who comes here to put it on.

Then maybe a little swimming. These are the kind of summer days I love.

After Weekend Pampering...

Hello!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was busy but great. Lots of activity and warm beautiful weather. 

Today I am catching up... in many ways.

The normal... Laundry, dishes, cleaning up.

But I also got to catch up with my best friend. She and her family are home from their summer trip and headed out again in a week, it was soo good to talk to her. 

Missed her alot.

Now I am going to take a pedicure break. 

Gonna try this recipe for dry skin on feet...

ugh.

Hope it works.

1/4 Cup Listerine

1/4 cup vinegar

1/2 cup warm to hot water

Soak for 10-15 minutes

wipe with soft cloth and dry skin just wipes off.

We will see, I am hoping it works good.

Glorious Summertime...

Yay... Friday!

I am so glad the weekend is here. I have to admit, I dont look forward to all the work on the weekends... (getting ready for yard sale no.2 ) but Summer fun just makes it all worth it.  The girls are loving the pool. Still a little cold for my liking, but great all the same. 

We are still having rain every afternoon, but still they get in and get a little swimming in before the clouds roll in. We are determined to have as close to a normal summer as possible.

This weekend is a busy one, packing, getting ready for yard sale, helping with the float for the library and then riding in the parade on Saturday, my girls are busy busy.

Oh well,

Kicking Off Summer...

Hello, Happy Friday... We have been very busy, Cleaning, packing, Selling... But we were able to squeeze in a day at the lake. 

While the kids splashed and played, and I enjoyed the sun, I confess, I am stressed. I feel like Summer is so short. That there is not enough time for fun. I have to make myself stop, and do stuff like this, because if not, our summer will be sad and mean nothing. 

And yet, if I do not stay busy, then the sadness creeps in and I feel lost. 

This is much harder than I thought it would be.

Oh well, enough of that, time to get busy, and not think.

Last Day of School Catchup....

 My sweet baby girl graduated from Preschool. Now onto Kindergarten...

 Then we joined my big girl in her class. They started the day off with Owl Pellet Dissection... Very cool. Much more so than I would have thought. Baby girl even got into it...

 Then we walked to the local historical museum in town, went on a tour, then walked to the town square for a picnic and lots of play through the dandelions... 

  Then the kids went back to school and settled down to the movie Frozen and icepops, and then we said goodbye. I am so proud of my big girl. She is being so brave. She has gone to school with these kids since Preschool and now we are going where she knows no one, and she is ready.

Ahhhh, summer break. I know its been summer break for a good 5 days now, but I am just now catching up. We went straight into a yard sale weekend after the last day of school. 

It was bittersweet. This will be the first time my girls have had to start over. We are moving 8 hours away in August and starting a new school. It was so very hard to say goodbye. They did better than me.

I am going to miss everyone so much. Good thing there is skype and internet. Got to keep in touch.
