Hello, Happy Tuesday!  It is a frigid -15 here, but the sun is shining and it looks to be a gorgeous blue sky day. 

 

I am catching up with all things computer related and have been doing some scrapbook research. 

 

I have been an avid scrapbooker for over 15 years now. I love it. It is my go to craft. I admit, I do love other crafts from time to time, but my heart always goes back to this craft. 

 

I may dabble in card making, knitting, crochet, and sewing, but there is something about putting all my photo memories down on paper that makes me feel accomplished and complete. 

 

Recently, one of my favorite companies went under and re-organized themselves. Creative Memories was always my go to for the products I needed. Now, I also loved going into other craft facilities and shopping their many isles for goodies, but they had some great basic items that I always used. So lately I have been looking for some other items to expand my arsenal of memory making supplies. 

 

I got the chance to do a bit of scrapbooking with my bestie on Saturday, and she showed me some great products along the lines of the new Ahni and Zoe products. (the new Creative Memories). So now that I have researched, they actually look like fun. I am excited about the idea of having everything precut and just sliding them into the pockets. So I ordered a few things and think I might give it a try. 

 

I have always stuck to one system, trying new things yes, but never really deviating from the original way that I learned 15 years ago. 

 

But I think its time for a change.

Fun Makeup Caddy Makeover

Hello, Happy Wednesday!

 

I am so excited to show off my recycled traincase. I have had my eyes on some cute makeup organizers lately, and just cant bring myself to spend the money on one. So I started looking through my garage and found an old traincase that was my grandmothers. 

It was perfect for the project. 

 

I got out some old Tilda wrapping paper (that I saved for just this kind of project) and some mod podge, some funky ribbon and some gingham scraps of fabric. It was so much fun, I cant wait to do it again. 

 

I am very happy with my fun makeup caddy. And it is kinda neat that it is the same one my grandmother used for her jewelry and other keepsakes. 

 

I like to think shes looking down and saying good job. She was always the best recycler that I knew.

Dance Day!

Hello, Happy Happy Sunday!

Friday was our first day of this years dance season. 

I am super happy with this years costume choices. I have to say, every year I question the older ones choice, which is usually not her choice but the choice of those who out vote her. 

BUT.... This year, she was on the majority side of the vote and she is very excited. As for the younger one, I am just happy its something other than pink. 

I am really happy and really excited for this years dance season.

I was just sitting here with my coffee thinking about how wonderful a large bouquet of peonies would be. 

I think even a small bouquet would be great at this time.

We start Dance lessons today and they are super excited. I have to admit, I am too.

Bathroom Storage Inspiration...

I am on a mission to organize my home. We are anticipating a move in late summer and I feel the need to organize and make it as easy as possible. So this month and next I will be doing much needed purge and organizing.

Some Fun and Flowery Valentines Decorations...

 This wreath was actually made years ago, but when I hung it on the door, it sort of looks like a heart, obviously I wasn't paying very good attention to how I glued on the flowers. Ha Ha. 

 Fun twist on the original paper chain. Love this!
