Ruffle Scarf

I love these ruffle scarves everyone is wearing. So I googled it and it seems pretty easy. Now I just need to get somewhere to buy the net yarn needed. Very pretty.

Pinecone Bird Feeders...

Hello. Happy Thursday!!! Hope everyone had a great Christmas. The girls and I are cleaning up. (well, I am. : )

I am trying to slowly put away Christmas decorations and the girls and I are making pinecone bird feeders. Now that we've gotten all this snow, our little feathered friends are looking a little sad. So we will be stringing many of these feeders in our trees. 

So easy and such instant gratification. Love it.

Snow Globes on Christmas Eve

Hello, Happy Monday!!!

 

Today we are happily home, nestled in, anxiously awaiting Christmas eve. I am hoping to take some fun pictures of the girls in their Christmas dresses, bake pies and enjoy the sweetness of the moment. 

 

I am hoping to try some snowglobes today. I think they will be waterless like the one above since I can't find glycerin. So for now they will be waterless, but still so so pretty.

Latest Project....

Now that we are completely ready for Christmas, packages purchased, wrapped and shipped if needed. Girls are home safe, snow glistening outside, stove burning, cookies baking....

ahhhhh....

I can actually sit and crochet. I am working on a blanket. I have started with these colors but have some blue and red on the way. I love this Caron Simply Soft yarn. My good friend told me about it. They sell it at Walmart and Joanns. LOVE IT. I don't think I will ever use anything else.

Baking Cookies....

I am trying to catch up on baking today. I am making three different cookies, fudge, peppermint bark, and apple pies. Whew!!!

Dreaming of a White Christmas...

Yea!!! Finally some snow. I am happy to say I am getting my White Christmas. The girls cant wait to sled and build snowmen. And we are forcasted to get more on Christmas Eve. Cant wait.

Christmas Decorating.... and a busy busy day!

Just a quick post to show some of the fun decorating and getting ready that we are doing. Have a full day at school today. Lots of Christmas parties to go to. Sugar cookie decorating at Preschool, then lunch with both of my girls and another party with my big girls class, then home to rest before Christmas Caroling tonight.

Let it Snow...

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Things have been busy. Lots going on. I have to admit I have been troubled by the evils going on in our world. I have been glued to the TV, tears running down my face. Trying to make sense of everything. Holding my babies close and wishing I could make things better for those who can't.  I am pretty involved at school and in my little way I have tried to be there as much as I can. I don't know if it helps, but it helps me. My heart goes out to those in pain right now. 

As for other news, we are finally getting snow. And we got it in a big way. 2 foot drifts. Fun. 

I am looking forward to the end of the week. We will be on break and not going anywhere. We will dig in and happily settle in for Christmas.

Bullet Jewelry....

Happy Tuesday. Hope your day is going great. I was exhausted yesterday so sorry no post. We had our craft fair on Saturday and it was a huge success. I took 30 bracelets and only came how with about 8. I thought it was a great sale. We also had earrings and necklaces and keychains and they all sold great as well. Some piano music ornaments, and banners went along and sold ok. Don't really think they could hold their own against the jewelry which I thought was fantastic. I plan to keep a few, use a few as gifts and then list the rest on Etsy. 

For now, I am reveling in the calmness that is December. We are finally forcasted to get some snow this week, my Keurig machine arrived yesterday (love it), and the major holiday goings-on don't start for another week, so I am taking advantage of this calmer week to enjoy the quietness.
