Flowers and Polka-dots

 Lately I have had an obsession with flowers and polka dots... and pastels. Must mean Easter is around the corner. A friend told me about these cute tablecloths at the local grocery store (local meaning 30 minutes away...) and I bought a few. They were a bargain at 2.99 each. They are plastic, which my husband hates, but I love because I can wipe them up. So cute.

Also... the same wonderful friend surprised me with this great bag from TJ Maxx. I am sure you have all seen these, they are so great. I use it to get the mail, I love it. Thanks my friend. You are wonderful.

Barbie Party Inspriation

On Saturday the 2nd of April I will be hosting a Birthday party for my daughter and her friends. I usually steer her away from parties, I think its out of fear but anyway, I decided that I could handle it. A room full of 7 year olds? Ahhhhhh. Anyways, we were inspired by her new rain boots. Barbie. So our party will be all about Barbie. Cant wait, it should be fun. Hope your having a great Wednesday... we are off to another birthday party.

~ A Sweet Little Egg ~

I forgot this sweet little picture yesterday from Cath Kidston. Love it. It is a cute little tin egg container with an egg shaped soap in it. Perfect for Easter. Hope every one is doing well today. We are on Spring Break (not that you can tell by the weather, but oh well, at least we have sun today) and I am getting ready to clean rooms and make some curtains. Have a great day.

Spring Colors and Warm Thoughts

Once again I woke this morning to a 2 inch dusting of snow. The robins are chirping quite angrily outside right now. IT is overcast and gloomy. It did this yesterday and even though it did eventually melt, it really seemed to mess up my whole ambition level. I never thought I was the type of person who the weather affected in that way, but I guess so. If there is sunshine, even if it is cold, I seem to have alot more energy. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty to do. Laundry, clean house, work on curtains for baby girls room, make more lavender pillows, and work on Birthday party stuff... but ....but....

Maybe more coffee will work!

~ Sweet Little Bread Tags ~

Sweet and simple. I was messing around with my Cricut the other day and found these cute bread tags on one of my cartridges. I was pretty impressed, they actually hold. Hope your Sunday is going good... mine is snowy... bummer. Hope it melts soon. Have a great day!

Hello... how is your Saturday going. Ours is great. My big girls Birthday went great last night. Our Ice Cream Brownie Sundays were wonderful, our big girl turned 7 without a hitch. One of her favorite presents was a sewing machine from Grandpa. It is a little portable by Shark. It is great. She has been begging for a machine so she can sew Barbie Clothes and look at what she did. She has been sewing for about 10 minutes and did this. I am so proud. She tells me she is going to be a fashion designer. I hope she does it. I know she can do anything she puts her mind to. On another note... I have to say this has been a great weekend so far... I even got to go to my first Garage sale of the season. It was all kids stuff but it gives me the fever. Hope to see more soon. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Happy Birthday Big Girl....

 My big girl turns 7 today. I cant believe it. Where has the time gone. When did she stop being that small chubby baby. She has grown into a very confident and sometimes cheeky 7 year old. She is a wonderful daughter, a wonderful big sister and a beautiful person. I still treat her like a baby sometimes and I catch myself and try to stop, luckily she doesnt mind. But I dont know if I can handle her getting any older. Happy Birthday sweetheart... Enjoy your day!

 Banana Splits anyone?

Today is Big girls last day of school before the official start of Spring Break tomorrow. And tomorrow is her birthday so we made yummy cupcakes with sprinkled frosting and gummy bears. I also added balloon picks (I got the idea from my very talented friend at shabby chic in the mountains ) I think they are perfect and so easy, especially if you have one of those handy dandy cricut machines. Tomorrow night instead of cake, my daughter wanted Ice Cream Sundays, so I assembled some fixins for the sundays. Yum! Hope everyone is having a great day!

~ Bunnies ~

The season for bunnies is upon us. I am just holding off going crazy until my Big girls birthday is over. Her 7th birthday is this Friday. It will be a small affair with visits from friends and a family get together that night... however on Saturday the 2nd of April, we will have a Barbie Bash for all her friend. Should be an adventure... enjoy the bunnies... come on Spring!

Lavender Pillows

As Spring approaches, I find I have many projects I want to get to. My jar of lavender has been calling to me and I want to have that wonderful smell throughout the house, so I made some quick lavender pillows. The smell so good. My husband doesn't agree, but his sock drawer will smell like lavender now... he he he!

Buttons

This weekend, my oldest daughter was complaining about being bored... so I asked her if she would like to help me with a project. This is usually code for something that she would hate doing, but this time it was actually something she enjoyed. She and I sat and sorted 1/2 of my vast collection of buttons into color groups. It was really fun seeing all of the different styles and colors of buttons. We only  sorted half of the collection, but now I know of a rainy day fun activity. Now to use them on something....

Fun New Rug

Thank you Mom for my new Rug. I am so excited. My Husband doesn't like it much...not a big fan of "Shag". But I love it. We are in desperate need of new flooring in our home, but its not in the budget this year since we are planning a complete backyard overhaul. So for now it is rugs and runners. This is a great start. I love love love it!
