More Pink...

Super sweet white crocheted throw, looks great with the pink.

Rose Cottage in the corner of the room... a favorite hang out for both of my girls.

A close up of that cool flower lamp...

Sweet babies to keep her company at night... no nightmares!

Pretty in Pink

Sweet Pink Polka Dot Comforter set (the reverse side is flowers, great if we want a change and free since it was re-purposed from Big girls first bed set)...

Captains bed with drawers underneath ( I used a bed skirt though, because I couldnt resist the completed look)...

This poster was big girls and the edges were really torn and messed up. So Big girl and I painted this frame and put it over part of the poster... I then tied it up with pink ribbon to hang it with... I am very happy with it and it will look even better once the walls are charming pink...

This lamp was a score from Ebay... It is from Ikea and It is perfect for a night light... I love it and want one for my room.... I wonder if my hubby would mind...hmmm.

Sweet Banner from Rachel Ashwell Simply Shabby Chic....

Bean bags because I worry a little about Baby girl falling out of bed... I am sure that worry will go away in about 10 years....

Sweet shaggy pink rug....

I am so happy with how her room is progressing and am anxious to paint it pink as well as white on her furniture pieces that arent white already. Stay tuned for more fun Pink changes... have a great day!

Obsessions...

Hello. I am taking a quick break from organizing and cleaning Baby girls room. We just finished putting her big girl bed together (captains bed with drawers under it) and she was so excited she conked out for a quick nap.... good idea. Anyways... I thought I would check in on my favorite blogs while she was sleeping. I am currently OBSESSED with grain sacks. All kinds. Coffee, Grain, Feed, etc. They can be any color, mostly light brown. I noticed that Pottery Barn had some great ones, and a few of my favorite bloggers sell and decorate with them... so now I am on the hunt. I have all family members helping me find them. I tend to get this way when I see something I like. I am just useless until I can find it. Anyway, here is a pic from last years crabapple tree, wish it was blooming now, but it will have to wait a few months still. Have a wonderful Saturday. I will be sure to post pics of Baby girls room on Monday!

Knitting and feeling better...

Ahhh... I feel so much better. Whatever bug I had, it seems to have left me. I did get a chance to just sit and rest yesterday... I also got some knitting done. Nothing fancy, just washcloths. I have to admit they are my favorite to knit. Quick and easy. Instant gratification. Have a great day. We are heading to a friends house for some playtime. (the kids... coffee and visiting for the moms).

New Slipcover

I am very excited I found this two piece slipcover on clearance at Target. Love it. It is very nice. It buckles under the cushions and around the back to make it look more taylored. The pillows are temporary since, I just havent found the right fabric for new pillows. But there has to be something to look forward to. For now, even though I have lots to do... I am sick and am going to sit, sip tea and knit today. Have a great one!

Un-Sure

I started painting my living room this weekend. I chose Pumpkin Seed and I am not sure if I like it. Depending on the time of day, its a little to creamy. Almost Buttercreamy. In this picture it looks pretty good. But in the afternoon light, its very yellow. Almost dingy as my husband put it. Before I paint the whole room, I think I will leave it for about a week and see if it grows on me.

On another note... check out these gorgeous California Oranges I purchased when getting groceries. I couldnt believe it. In fact, the checker thought they were grapefruit, but was shocked when I told her "no these are oranges!". They are very very good. Hopefully all the vitamin C will keep the cold bugs away... Have a great day!

Valentines Day Gingerbread House

One of the few things I bought at the after Christmas Sales was this already built Gingerbread House kit. I had seen in Family Fun magazine where one family never got to build their house during Christmas, so they built it for Valentines Day. I thought that was a great idea. I also purchased yummy candy, instead of the hard icky candy that came with it. Yeah!

I think it turned out great!

Have a great day... we are heading out shopping today!
Normal groceries... but maybe a thrift store or two....
hmmmm.

 Country Living

Coastal Living

Lately I have been thinking of buying slipcovers for my living room furniture. I think something light that is easy to wash would be great. Here are some cute pics of some slipcovered living rooms.

Garnet Hill

I am really loving Garnet Hill lately. There regular home and womens catalog is lovely and I have alot of favorites in there. But Today I LOVE the kids Growing up Garnet Hill. It is full of the most delicious pastel floaty light fabrics and sweet accessories. It is summer in a catalog. I find myself looking at it over again, and wishing for warmth. I know it will be here before we know it. All the stores are filling up with Spring merchandise, and the TV sales channels are selling plants as well as plant catalogs coming in the mail. But the next two months are usually pretty long around here. Lets just say  -1 degrees this morning didnt inspire any confidence. Either way, be sure to check out http://www.growingupgarnethill.com/ for some really cute items.

New Tilda for Spring

While looking at some other blogs, I found this wonderful info about new Tilda products coming soon. I love them. Cant wait to get some of them. Have a great day!

Loving Feathers

I turned this halo into a heart. It bent perfectly...

I purchased these wings and halo set after Halloween thinking I may use for Christmas pics... but I thought they would be great for Valentines. Cupid seems to have left his wings but I cant find any arrows... Have a great day!

Inspiration...

I love this bedding. I have shopped around and looked through many catalogs, but there is just something about these owls that drive me crazy. I especially love this very woodsy looking room. So cute.

This bed is fabulous for a small room... love it!

I am getting ready to start a few painting projects. One of them is my youngest daughters room. I have chosen charming pink. I am very excited about it. There is also a black bookshelf in her room which is destined to be white... ugh. I think it will take alot of paint, but oh well. Black just isnt going to cut it and its a great bookshelf. Here is some great inspiration from Pottery Barn Kids... enjoy!
