Pumpkin Seeds

I love cleaning and carving pumpkins. However, for some reason my heart just wasnt in it this year. Lucky for me, my 6 year old was all about it. So she carved (with a child safe carving kit) and my 2 year old cleaned (with some help from big sis and mom) and I roasted seeds. It was alot of fun and now we have 5 very happy jack-o-lanterns...

Hair Bow and Clip Organizer

I have been looking for a while for a good way to organize all of our hair bows and clips. I think I finally found it. While looking in my New December issue of Family Fun Magazine, I found this great hair braid craft inspired by the new Disney movie Twisted about Repunzzel. This was so easy and you can find the instructions at Familyfun.com. Now I think I need two because I didnt realize we had so many clips. So much fun....

Loving Red and White.... and Grey... and Blue....

This is an old pic from a previous catalog, but I love the red and white...

Soo Cozy...

More Red and White...

I have been constantly thinking about red and white lately and found these great images from my favorite obsession. Greengate really has the colors I love. I find that I am getting really creative though with stuff I can get around here. It may not be the real thing, but this way its more fun to create it. Enjoy! We are off to a friends house. Have a great day!!!

Fun Fall Books

I love to sit and read to my kids, when they will sit still and let me. So I raided our books for as many Fall Storys that I could find. We have some cute ones...

Bedroom Redo

I think this quilt will look lovely with red and white...

Now that the weather is cooling down, I took some time and stripped my bed of the "warm weather covers" and have replaced them with my Winter covers. This means comfy Flannel Sheets, and our Electric Blanket. I also decided to get rid of the yellows and greens and infuse more red and light blue and pink in our Bedroom. I have plans to use alot of red and white gingham this winter season in our room and the living room so stay tuned for the results. For now here is a peek at the gorgeous quilt I found this summer at a yard sale, love it!!

Dreaming of Winter

Today the weather is cloudy and cool. I am happily sitting in my chair with my coffee, watching the little one play and feeling the warmth from the stove. I couldnt help but think of winter and all the wonderful holidays that come with it. I love Fall and Halloween and am still in that mode, but for a moment I wanted to post some of my favorite Winter and Christmas images. I have been preparing for the upcomming season with shopping and making gifts. I know its early, but this gives me time to enjoy the season instead of rushing around at the last minute. Enjoy the momentary "Winter pics". Have a great day!

A Little Black Bird

Well its not a spooky crow, but the little black bird that my local florist painted black for me is still super cute. A friend of mine bought me some moss and this little guy. I love all of it. So much fun!!!

A Spooky Bathroom

My guest bathroom has been taken over by ghosts... not really, but I want it to look that way. I think my ghost hand and boo look much better in person. But I really love the organic look of tree branches and rocks and the simple glitter pumpkin on the towels. Love it.

Ghoolish Entryway

Shopping bags... Buckets for holding gloves (its getting colder in the mornings...brrr)...and lots of pumpkins...

I have sooo many spiders, I love em' but I really want to find some black birds...

Smile...

In the last few days I have thrown myself into Halloween Decorating. I used to start on October 1st, but since my 2 year olds birthday is on the 7th, it delays things a bit. Now I try to hold off for a week or so. Now I am going decorating crazy... so much fun!

Fun Fall Activity

While my parents were here this weekend, we had fun doing a fall activity. My mom brought us these little pumpkins and the girls had a great time painting and decorating them. I thought it was a great idea and have them displayed all over the house. So much fun. Check out my BOO pumpkins...

More Spooky Pics and Shopping...

Well the Birthday Celebrations are over. My baby girl who is offically a terrific 2 is happy playing with Barbie that her sister gave her and I am content with my coffee. My parents left and I am sad, but the older I get, the easier it gets... (a little anyway). I wanted to post some more spooky cemetary pics before heading out for grocery shopping. Have a great weekend.

Simple Halloween Decorating...

Ususally, my Halloween decorating style is very over the top. Lots of Spider webs, Spiders, Pumpkins, etc. This year I wanted to do something different. I wanted simpler, and I think Spookier accents. So I am going with more green and black and white this year. Ofcoarse there will still be pumpkins... I love them! But I think black crow silhouettes and ghostly images will be making an appearance here... Boo!
