While shopping at my local hardware store last weekend, I discovered a huge table with sample size cans of paint for $1.00 each. I thought this would be a perfect time to stock up on paint to use on small projects, however when I got home I discovered a wonderful color called Pumpkin seed. It is a very creamy white with a hint of peach. This got me thinking about a complete change in color in my house. I went very bold last Thanksgiving with Green and am now wanting more of a neutral color in my home. The dilema is do I wait until the new year or do it now. I am afraid that the Pumpkin seed color is only desirable because I am in the throws of Fall and all the orange it brings. Hmmm, Dilema!!! Oh well I think I will think about it some more and decide later... Have a great Day!

Fall Banner
I decided to try something different this year and used felt and fabric to make a banner. I also used the Jute cord that I got this summer and some clothespins. I wanted to paint the pins gold, but decided that brown looked nice too. (And I was in a hurry). I also changed my curtains to something a little more Fall. It definatly isnt perfect, but I am really happy with the rustic results. Have a Happy Day!!

Pumpkins
I love pumpkins. I love the look... warm and happy and bright, I love the smell, I love the gooey insides, I love roasting the seeds and cutting up the pulp to use in baking and soups, and I love carving them and using them for Halloween (My favorite holiday). This beautiful vegitable comes the perfect time of year, when I want to cook and bake and all it takes is the smell of it to get me in the mood for Fall. We always have many pumpkins, real and faux around our house this time of year. Have a great Day!!!
Weekend Crafts
We also made some caramel apples... they were good, but in the interest of saving time I used the caramel sheets instead of melting individual candy and they didnt work as good. Lesson learned, next time we will be dipping like before.
My oldest daughter and I had fun this weekend working on some fun and easy crafts. I got this wreath idea from Martha Stewart. Hers was more sophisticated, but my daughter loved cutting out leaves and taping them together. We used an old wire hanger for the frame and some pretty ribbon. Lovely. And fun times together while the 2 year old was napping...

Cath Kidston in the US... Yeah!!!
Some Super Sweet images from the cath kidston line...
I am so excited to say that Cath Kidston products can now be purchased (hopefully by me!!) in the US. They finally have a website for US buyers with US shipping costs... yeah!!! The are still a bit expensive, but now I dont have to calculate the extra shipping cost. They have great sales, I cant wait. Right now I am actually Christmas shopping. I know, insane right? But its the only way I can get everything and still afford it. Oh well, I am currently enjoying my Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks and contemplating cleaning my kitchen and then making a blueberry Pie... Yummy! Have a great Day!

Fun Fall Reading
I am really enjoying the cooler weather we are having. It even snowed above 12000 feet. We fired up our stove briefly last night, just to adjust the thermostat and it was wonderful. I think I am going alittle crazy since I am more than ready for the upcomming seasons. Today I am finishing laundry and reading some cozy books. Have a great day....

Happy First Day of Autumn...
Yeah!! It is finally officially Fall. With this glorious first day came clouds, rain and cool weather. I love that I can finally get out my cozy throws, light all my candles and fill the house with warmth that can only come with this season. Aside from drinking coffee all day... which I am sure I will regret later... I really cant think of anything better than today...
Enjoy!

My Favorite Tea
Coffee is usually my favorite drink in the morning and early afternoon. Add a generous amount of French Vanilla Creamer and I am a very happy person. But sometimes it gets a little boring, and thats when I start drinking more tea. I love the Organic Chai by Tazo. It is so yummy, by itself or with a splash of vanilla creamer. So good. Especially this time of year...

Changing Leaves
I am loving that the colors are changing here in town and surrounding hills. As I drive down the street the leaves swirl in the road and the air has a slight chill. It is still warm enough for short sleeves, but you can definatly feel the change. We will be going up in the hills to have a fun day on Friday, and I am hoping to get some great picture of the girls, (possibly with me in them too). What a great time of year.
