Busy Day

We have a very busy day today. I wanted to post a quick picture of my Pies. I decided to try two blueberry pies with lattice crust. This was definatly a first for me. But I think they turned out Fabulous. The ran over a little, but I am very happy with them. We are continuing our Garage sale today for a few hours, then packing up and heading out for a family reunion. I love Summer. Have a great Day...

Some new friends...

These horses refused to move as we were coming down the mountain from our fun Beaver relocation. I think they wanted food....
My oldest daughter was in heaven...

A Unique Opportunity

My children and I had a unique opportunity today. We were invited along on a Beaver Relocation. It was very exciting and very informative. We had a great time. This aspen grove surrounded the beautiful creek that became his new home. His girlfriend and children were relocated there last week and he finally joined them. It was a wonderful experience.

His new creek...

On his way down to the creek, he was transported by ATV. I dont think he minded much. He was actually very friendly, I was surprised. Amazing...

Sweet Pillows

Since I wont be around much tomorrow... I thought I would go ahead and post my new pillows I made. I was just messing around and thought it would be fun to use vintage table linens and put cute backs on them for pillows. They turned out very cute. My oldest daughter took the one with the lady with the skirt and I think the other one will go in the baby girls room. The lavendar one stays with me though. So sweet.

Camping Lanterns

I have been thinking about ways to light up our campsite when we go out to the lake and I remembered that I had these green Atlas jars sitting out in the garage taking up space and annoying my husband :)... They are perfect for lanterns. I washed them up, filled with blue sand (love it) and berry scented tealights (a gift from a friend... thanks). I will probably change the candles to unscented when we go out camping (dont want to attract bugs), but I love the result. I just need some wire to wrap around the tops... maybe the dollar store has some... very cool.

Shades of Grey

Today is a grey day. I think it might rain, which is fine because it has been really hot. Its nice and cool and it got me thinking about fall...
I started looking online and although I have never been much of a Grey person, I really like the Greengate Line of Grey products. Very pretty and soothing.
Enjoy... :)

Lavender Pillows

I was messing around with some soft flannel fabric and made these lavender scented pillows. So nice for making the bedroom smell fresh and relaxing. Love it.

Lunchtime... Yum!

Summer Squash, Zuchinni and Onions over Pasta with a little Parmesan Cheese... Yummy Summer Lunch, the only thing that would have made it better is if I grew the veggies myself...

Lovely Picnic

After our wonderful picnic yesterday, I decided to plan a small before school starts camping trip. I am hoping it will kick off back to school nicely. Here are some super cute images to inspire ideas...

Picnic and a Hike

We are heading out today for a Picnic and a Hike with good friends. Please enjoy these super sweet pics from Cath Kidston and I will see you tomorrow. Have a great day!!

Ivy

I love my Ivy. This plant was a gift 9 years ago, from the girls I worked with when my Grandmother passed away. It has been the best plant. It has been trimmed many times and has started many small ivy plants that have been given away. It put up with abuse from me when my children were small and I couldnt dedicate the attention to it that I would have liked and now it is flourishing. It reminds me daily of my Grandmother and her green thumb and I like to think that maybe she is helping me keep it going...

(dont look at the dust on the lamp though :))
