Yard Sale Weekend

Our Yardsale...

With some of the money we made, I purchased this years tomato plants... pear and early girl, cant wait to plant them...

Cute shelf from a friends yard sale... we were directing people to each others sale, and I HAD to go look...

Tarts from my father in laws stuff, couldnt let these get away since I am a candle fanatic...

Sweet pitchers for lemonaide, maybe a gift or 2...

Our Yard Sale was a huge success. It was 3 days of Sun and Wind and worth every second of insanity. We were able to unload so many collected items and unneeded stuff and our house is much emptier.

Yard Sale Finds

Yard sale season is kicking off and there were many deals to be had this weekend. Check out what I found for little money...
Great green glass ball jar works great to hold my leftover flowers from Mothers Day...

This hen needed a home... so whimsical and sweet...

White glass flowerpots, not old, but very fresh and perfect for a centerpiece, and the table cloth is actually a bed skirt, but made a great table cover...

Childrens Fair

Last Friday we went to the Childrens Fair with some of our good friends. It was crazy but fun. The Kids got to plant Sunflowers and hold ladybugs and make crafts... and just have a good time.

Spring Program

Last night was my daughters spring program at school. They were clown fish and were required to dress like a clown. My good friend loaned her the hat and did her makeup, it was alot of fun and the program was really cute.

Such a ham...

Roses in Bloom

My mothers day roses are spreading out beautifully, just wanted to share.

Tilda Addiction

I was recently introduced to the wonderful creations of Tone Finnanger or Tilda. I have 4 of her books and I love them. Now that I have my craft area set up, I am anxious to get creating. A friend of mine will be traveling in the next month and has offered to purchase me some of her scrapbooking items which are really hard to get here in the USA so I am very excited.

Some Inspiring home ideas...

I love this bathroom. We are currently looking for a new house and have looked at a few that are definatly fixer upers and I am getting alot of ideas from these sweet rooms in her books.

Old Toolbox...New Flowerbox

I found this great old tool box in some of my Grandparents things and stuck it away so that I could do something with it later. Now that Spring is here, the previously forgotten toolbox has been re-discovered. I purchased some of the little paint pods from our local hardware store in green and blue and decided to paint it blue. Its almost a white blue, very pretty. I hope to add Geraniums to it soon. The local flower shop ordered me some, so I think they will look nice in it and it will be easy to transfer inside and out since it is still freezing here. So pretty...

Sweet Reward

After my hard day of cleaning, I rewarded myself...and my family... with yummy cherry brownies. They were easy, just use a box mix of brownies and add marachino cherries. Yum. My husband was not impressed, since he is trying to loose a few pounds, but ohwell.

:)

Cleaning Day

I have been struck by the Spring Cleaning Bug, I cant say that it happens that often. I try to keep up daily and tend to do things the easiest way possible, but since we are selling our house, I figured I need to step it up. I have to admit I really like the results, and my 6 year old is definatly inheriting some of the chores now. But it looks good, now I can do more craft projects...

My Shopping Bag

I just made this super cute, not so perfect because I was in a hurry, shabby chic style tote bag. It is going to be perfect for garage sales and haulin diapers and such. I am so excited about it. I found it on another blog and couldnt believe how easy it is. I decided to use a tote I already had and covered it, but I am definatly going to be making more. Check it out at http://www.susieharrisblog.com/

Springtime

I couldn't resist this springy picture, she is ready for it, but the clouds and wind aren't cooperating.

Remembering Newport beach... I printed some sepia tone pictures and used them for a banner and a cute wreath. Worked out great.

New pillow for our new halltree. So comfy...

More Chickens

Yummy Lunch

I wish I could say this was homemade but I just picked it up at the local grocery store. It is Italian Herb with Peppers Chiabatta bread, it is so good. I usually have a rule about no bread, but today I decided to try it. It is really good, so it definatly goes on the NEVER BUY AGAIN list. :)

For Sale

So this weekend we put our house on the market. We have decided that it is time to look for something either outside town, or just bigger. We really have outgrown this little place with two girls and our monster dog. We have been getting alot of interest, but not in the house, just in what we are up to. Sad to say its nothing exciting like work transfer or winning the lottery, just time for a change. So I am gearing up for a huge yard sale to try and eliminate clutter and I am cutting deep. If it doesnt have a place its gone. Very bittersweet, but full of possibilities.

Fun Weekend Finds

This weekend was very cold and I wasnt feeling good... hence the lack of posts. But my new Rachel Ashwell book came Saturday... finally. I ordered it on April 1st and finally got it in the mail. I was perfectly happy to sit and be sick and read it.

On Thursday, my new Halltree arrived. I usually try to only repurpose older furniture, but my mom was so generous and purchased this for us. I love it. Finally a nice place to keep all my magazines and hang stuff. My husband was less than thrilled with the assembly process, but the final product is exactly what I was hoping for. The watering can was my Sunday garage sale find. I have always wanted one of these and for $10.00 I finally have one. It needs some serious cleaning, but I cant wait to fill it with flowers...
