Old Chicken Coop

Last summer at a local auction, I found this neat chicken coop. I thought it would be great for bird houses or plants, but unfortunatly it sat outside in the weather. This year I decided to bring it in and use it for decoration. I might paint it white, I think it would be nice white.

Crafts with Postcards

Recent Obsession

I recently became obsessed with vintage postcards. These are reproductions, but I plan to look for actual vintage items this summer. I love the idea of decorating with them in banners, and even scrapbooks. Very sweet.

Sweet Tins

These cute little tins were found at a thrift store. I love them. I am not sure yet what I am going to do with them, but they are really neat. Cute.

Letter Organizer

I purchased this really cute letter/bill organizer...(wish there were more letters than bills)... and I wanted to make folders for it that were cute and shabby chic. So I covered regular folders with some pretty paper. It worked ok, I think I will be on the lookout for some other options, but for now its cute.

American Girl

For my daughters 6th birthday, we decided to make a trip to the city and go to the Zoo and then have lunch at the mall. We were very excited to find out that a brand new American Girl store had opened in Denver and wow was that an experience. My daughter, who really hasnt shown any interest in dolls, was captivated. She loved everything about the place. She has some birthday money to spend, so we purchased this sweet horse for her collection. I have to admit, I am hooked on the place, and I hope to purchase dolls and accessories for both girls...(as well as myself!!)...in the future. I was very impressed with the store... fun!!!

Birthday Cake

The fun thing about 6 is that She picked everything for and about her cake. She picked Strawberry cake with vanilla frosting and star candles with horses on top. The Pink sugar was the last part she felt would complete the cake. It definatly tasted interesting, but she was very happy with it.

No More Snow!!!

I am so tired of the snow. Normally I love the pretty white stuff, but not when its almost April. I need sun and warmth. What is worse, is it keeps teasing me. It melts, then snows, then melts, then snows again. Enough allready!! Melt please...

Bling Bling

We went shopping yesterday because my daughter needed new sneakers and while shopping for them we found these really cute sandals. Its way to icky outside to wear them, but that didnt stop her from wearing them inside. So pretty.

Lazy Day Craft-tivities

We are on Spring Break this week and it is cold and trying to snow outside. So we found a fun thing to do inside. My oldest is trying her hand at Bendaroos. They are lots of fun and she is doing a great job.

New Curtains for the Dining Room

New Pillows for the couch

More Sewing Projects

I was very busy this weekend sewing embellishements on some of my daughters regular clothes. I have a very hard time finding horse items. I have found a few on Ebay, but its really hard and they seem to sell for alot of money. So I used my Cricut and made a Horse template and made cute little horses for her shirts.

This is a really cute dress I made for my Oldest. It also has a horse on the front and will be great for Easter. I love the little bow on the back.

Seashells

While we were on vacation in California, we picked up many sea shells at the beach. When we got home, I wasn't really sure what to do with them. Today, I filled some green glass jars...which I LOVE... and they looked great.
I also added a Japanese fishing float that is green and it looked really nice. I really like the green glass jars. I use them for just about anything, flowers, collectibles, etc. I just need more storage to keep all these pretty items....

New Curtains and Pillows

I have been working hard on new window valances...

and new pillows for my oldest daughters room.

It was so much fun to surprise her after school today. The time spent on it was well worth it.
I guess now I better focus on laundry.

Sweet Little Girls Room

This is the really cute valance I made for my youngest daughters room. It is so cute and Pink. I am currently working on transforming her room into a sweet little girls room instead of a babys room. White furniture and Pink fabrics...so cute.
