Amish Friendship Bread Chocolate Chip Muffins....

Sunday was baking day for my Amish Friendship bread starter. So I baked up a storm. I actually used two of the starters for this and froze half of the muffins so that I am not tempted to eat them all. YUM!

I just used the basic recipe and made it into muffins instead of a loaf of bread. 

They turned out wonderful. Now for 10 more days and I will bake again.

St. Patricks Day Recap...

Hello, Happy Tuesday. This weekend was so great. We were busy, but it was actually relaxing. I know that doesn't make sense, but I think it consisted of much needed family time. IT started out with my girls and I shopping on Friday. We bought groceries and other needed items, but we also looked at clothes, and pretty hair bows, and shoes. We took our time and enjoyed the day. I purchased this shamrock... I couldn't resist even though I will probably not be able to keep it alive. Then we came home, danced, played volleyball outside and just relaxed. Then Saturday, my big girl went to a friends sledding party, and my hubby and baby girl and I went to a local tourist town and just shopped and hung out. The weather was iffy. Some sleet, some snow, some rain and then the sun would come out for about a minute and it started all over again, but it was fun. Then Sunday we just enjoyed all things Irish and baked. 

There is definately something to be said for Family time.

A New tool by Stampin UP!

Happy Friday! I am so glad the week is over. We were busy busy. My oldest started volleyball on Monday. Practice was on Monday and Wednesday nights. And then we had 4-H on Thursday. Not to mention busy days at school with testing and other stuff. We are exhausted. Today is a lazy day with crafting and Dance classes. I think we may do some fun St. Patricks Day craft today. 

On another note, check out my new tool. I am super excited. This is my petite pennant punch by Stampin Up. I just grabbed some scraps out of my pile and they happened to be Halloween ones. This is truly my favorite tool right now. I plan to make many of these for scrapbooks and cards. I may even dedicate a accordian folder to these in different season, holidays and events.

Happy Thursday! Just heading out to school for a busy day of volunteering. I moan and groan about these days, thinking about all have to do at home, but I know one day I will look back and think about how important it is that I was (am) able to do it. It is so great that I can be a part of my girls lives and part of their schooling. I am blessed.

Hello, happy Wednesday. I have been busy ignoring the gloomy weather by Spring-ing things up around here. I am loving the brighter colors. The snow is taking its sweet time melting and the sun is hit or miss. Bright colors and yummy smelling candles are just what I am needing.

Sewing List of To Do's... Pretty Dresses

I purchased some smocked material last summer and am just now getting to the dresses I wanted to make, but once I started organizing my craft area, it made me want to do lots more crafting. My baby girl loved the results. There was even enough for dolly too.

Craft Room Organizing...

 I don't know how many times I have done this. I am constantly going through drawers and organizing, only to go back a few months later and doing it again. Why is it drawers end up being catch alls for everything. I know that anything that does not have a place always ends up in there. We not anymore. This week is going to start a trend. I am going through them once more and throwing stuff away. No more re-allocating an item. Just trash. I feel so good when I throw bits and pieces away. At first there is the dread and worry of "what if I need this later" but once I toss it there is a huge weight lifted and I feel so much lighter. I have found this to be true with most items. SO this week is throw away week. I am going to start at one end of the house and work my way through. Drawers, under sinks, medicine cabinets... nothings safe. I will try to post some of my before and afters. (If I am brave enough).

Scrapbooking...

Last week, me and my big girl got some scrapbooking done. It was a great time for the two of us. My youngest was sick and sleeping and it was great getting in some time together just the two of us. She was especially proud of the idea that she was able to pick through my sticker stash. It was wonderful. Hope your day is happy!

Bunnies Everywhere...

Its beginning to look alot like Spring time. I am loving my new Yankee Candle Vintage Easter shade and plate, and Meadow Showers Candle. Yum. I also picked up the Jasmine Gardenia one at Walmart, they both smell so good. Fresh and springy. 

Not to mention the little bunny friend in the window. It makes me smile everytime I look at him.

I am not a huge girl scout cookie eater, but once a year, I try to support my neighbors' girls. So this year it was Samoa's and Thin Mints. 

Just right for today... with some coffee of course.

Happy March 1st

Can I just say how happy I am that we made it through February. This winter has felt so long. We started having below 0 temps in December and are still having them as of 2 days ago. It warms up nicely during the day, but the cold just seeps into me. I am ready for warmer, light jacket or just a long sleeve shirt, kind of days. 

Today I am home with my little one, who is sick. My big girl is off at dance class and before that she and I decided to scrapbook. Its so nice that we can do that together now. She will be 9 this month. As I sit and watch her put her stuff together, I remember the baby who used to sit in the highchair and color with markers while I scrapbooked. Seems so long ago. Time really does fly, so I guess Spring will be here before we know it.
