Hello, hope your Tuesday is going well. I have been cleaning up and putting laundry away and thought I would take a quick blog break. 

We had a yummy lunch and dessert. Now for some quiet time before we go swimming.

I love Maileg. They have the cutest little critters. I found these great images on Pinterest. Love them. They inspire me to make my home soft and inviting. I want to do my littlest daughters room in these soft whimsical colors.

Birthday Dinner and A Quiet Evening....

I had a wonderful birthday! My hubby cooked (takeout pizza) and my Daughters made me a homemade card and then after lots of fun, I got to sit and work on my blanket I am crocheting. Wonderful.

~ Happy Blueberry Birthday ~

Today is my birthday. Yay. I have to say, its pretty much just another day. My husband offered to bake a cake, but I decided that for my birthday, I wanted blueberry pie and I wanted my girls to help me. So today we are baking blueberry pies. I am not even sure if we will eat dinner, maybe just pie with whip cream. 

Bring on year 38, I am ready.

Fun New Curtains and a little Cinnamon....

Here is a picture of my new Kitchen and Dining room curtains. Sorry for the color fade, the sun coming into the room makes them look lighter, they are actually a very pretty darker blue. I havent filled my fun Ikea planters yet, still looking for the right plant. I also couldn't resist adding my cute new Greengate Cinnamon shaker. Cant wait to bake something with Cinnamon in it.

Summer Knitting

I am getting ready to water outside, and start some chores and thought I would post quickly. I am thinking about starting a knitted blanket. I love these colors in this Greengate picture. I figure if I start now, I might be done by winter. We'll see.

Hello again. I am sitting here taking a Lunch/Pinterest break. I thought these were some great ideas. I especially love the glitter in salt shakers. I will be looking for some at garage sales. I also really want a big white fluffy beanbag, adult sized. Just for me.

Home...

Yay we're home. We had a great trip to my parents house but now we are home. I am in a frenzy cleaning house. I dont know what it is about vacation, but I tend to spend my down time thinking about all the stuff I need to do at home. Now I am going crazy, decluttering and getting ready for the weekend. IT will be a busy one. We will be attending a local fair and parade, setting up our pool, working on the yard and starting the fire pit. Wow, I am tired already. Hope you are having  a great week.

Backyard Fire Pit

I am busy packing to go out of town, but had to sit and post about some plans for our return. My hubby has agreed to dig a fire pit in our back yard. Yay!! I am so excited that he is excited about it. I am looking forward to many evenings by the campfire. The best part is we dont have to leave the yard.

Happy Wednesday! Just doing some dreaming of all things that I cant get in the USA. Its actually very frustrating. I did however score this cute shaker off of Ebay. Hope your week is good, have to pack to go out of town this weekend.

~ Fun Stuff From Ikea ~

 I already have these cups in white and wanted some in blue to match my kitchen. I think I will add some other blue pieces on my next Ikea trip. 

 (this is what I am hoping my stool will look like soon, just deciding on the right color)

Hello, Happy Tuesday! I am tired. Yesterday we spent a good portion of the day shopping in Ikea. You know what I mean. Ikea takes a good portion of the day. Add in 4 hours of driving and traffic and its a long day. Luckily my girls and I had great girl time together. We had lunch and looked at all the fun toys and kids furniture (both have added a swivel bubble type chair to their Christmas lists) and then they went to the Smalland area for an hour while I had quiet alone Ikea time. I had a ball. I picked up my dishes and some other essentials. The stool I have been eyeing for awhile and finally decided to get it. I also got some white curtains for the living room and a set of Red curtains out of the as is section that I am saving for Christmas, as well as a feather pillow/cushion that has already found a spot on the couch. Now to clean and put it all away.
