We spent a wonderful day at the lake today. It was warm and relaxing and the kids have nice tans and I burned my back... Oh well, It was really great anyway, cant wait to make it a regular thing.

Other Projects...Coffee Anyone?

I covered my tin star with cute Tilda paper, I am on a roll.

I saw a super cute coffee pot cozy in one of my Tilda books and so I made my own for my plain carafe. I think it turned out pretty cute. I am currently looking for a nicer carafe, but for now, this dresses it up a bit. Coffee anyone?

Sweet Cushions for Baby

Its a little hard to see but its a pretty light pink pattern from Rachel Ashwell. I had a lone sheet that I cut up (gasp) and used for many cute projects. Love it...

The large cushion is an old Frog bean bag that I covered with this fabric and the small pillow is just a pillow, so much fun...

Overdue Projects

I have been wanting to cover these tin canisters for a while now. I finally had time today and chose to use fabric for the round one (i am not sure i like the ribbon, it might get changed) and Tilda Paper for the tall rectangle one. I love how they turned out. I have an old metal bread box that I am going to cover next... cant wait to see how it turns out.

Summer Day Change of Plans

Our plans for a lakeside picnic changed so we had our picnic outside and were amazed to see how many ants we have in our front yard. I immediately ran to the store to buy cayenne pepper, safe for dog, bad for ants. Yuck... and right before the 4th of July weekend...

Cleaning Break For Fun Stuff

These canning jars are not old, but I loved the red plaid tops, so I am using them in the pantry as well as other areas that need organization...

Fun Picnic basket, I love this basket, its light and should work perfect for our next picnic, definate bargain for $1.50...

This is my most favorite find, a blue bench. I purchased this with the intention of putting it at the end of the bed, but it worked perfectly in the bathroom... for now. We will see if it stays there.

Cleaning Day

Today I am cleaning house. I took a quick blog and coffee break, but I need to get stuff done. It seems like the weekends take on a life of their own and between going places, meals, and naps, nothing gets done. So today Laundry, Bathrooms, Kitchens, and everything else. Ahhh, more coffee please...

Baby Girls New Reading Spot...

Such cute painted designs... I love the mix of stripes and polka dots, and the little side holder for books... cute....

This is my super cool find today... I was so excited to find it. The pictures dont do it justice. IT is actually a potty chair, but I do not plan to use it that way, instead it makes a perfect reading spot for my baby girl. So cute and she loves it.

My Newest Obsession

My good friend recently returned from her vacation to Norway and came back with all these great things that you can only get there... And I am obsessed. I can not get them online, I can not get them mail order, I cant even get them on Ebay... It is KILLING me. This particular line is GreenGate... a Copenhagen company and the other is Cath Kidston (this one is somewhat easier to obtain, but not much)... I have to say I am definatly on a quest to get a few pieces, fingers crossed...

Happy Birthday...Too Me...

Well Yesterday was my 36th birthday. It was wonderful. Nothing very eventful, but at my age... I prefer calm and sweet to crazy. My good friend had the girls and I over for a wonderful Norweigan Meal (Breakfast to me) and then we took a trip over to the plant nursery and oohed and ahhd until we decided on Lilacs and Peony's. Then home for a nice lunch of my favorite pizza. It was a great day. Thank you.

Fun New Stuff

We didnt make it to too many Garage Sales this weekend, but We went to my Favorite Thrift store and Ross on Fathers Day... Look at my goodies...The super sweet bowls are from Ross and the linens, strawberry bowl, polka dot cups and white tin (along with some othe goodies and surprises) where from the thrift store... love it!

Those Crazy Kids

AAHHHHH!!!! I still cant believe my Husband let her do this.....

My Children loved this weekend. We had our local town celebration, complete with parade, music in the park, craft vendors and fun rides and games. My oldest rode in the parade with my Husband and one of her good friends and her dad, and the youngest picked up candy and other goodies that were thrown. Then we headed to the park where my oldest preceded to jump from a very high platform onto a soft bouncy surface... I was a wreck...
