Lularoe Obsessed

Good morning! Happy Sunday!
I am just enjoying my coffee looking at Lularoe on anywhere I can. My Mom in Law just introduced me to this wonderful line. But now I am obsessed.
Oh well, something fun to hunt for.
Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful Snowy Days

Hello, Happy happy Thursday!
We have been happily digging out for a few days now. We have had delayed starts to our days and one day that we all agree should have been called a full snow day, but oh well. We all made it to school anyways. I have been going back to subbing more consistently now that Hubby is on the mend. Hoping to work more and more. Gotta make some money. Plus with both of my girls at school all day, I really need something that pays to occupy my time. I love blogging, but its just not paying the bills. And there is only so much crafting I can do. So time to start working more.
The nice thing about subbing is I can work when I want... the bad... no consistency. I am afraid I am one of those people who need to know daily what I am doing, have my own space... (desk, table, etc). and a regular routine. So while the flexibility is nice, its also, annoying. Ha ha. I think I must be a little crazy. Either way, I am hoping for something a little more permanent in the future.

Have a great day. Gotta catch up on laundry...
I am subbing tomorrow.

More Snow... Love Love Winter

Good Morning. I am loving these 2 hour delays. But I think I will get too used to it. Ha ha. I think between getting home yesterday and this morning we got another 18 inches. Ready for spring I think.
Here's hoping for some sunshine today.
Have a great day, I am heading out to shovel.

Subtle Valentine Touches

Hello, Happy Friday!
Busy busy day ahead.
Volunteering at school, but I was able to work through my migraine yesterday and do a little decorating.
I love my new hanging vase. Not happy about the eyesore of the temperature controller, but I am learning to not see it. Ha ha.
Just a few little subtle Valentine additions.
Getting me in the mood.
I am determined to start setting money aside towards new house stuff, so I am not buying any new decorations. Gonna make due with what we have and get creative. It really helps that I indulged last year during the clearance sales. Ha ha.
Yay!
Have a great day!

My Daughter the Artist

Good Morning!

This weekend my daughter drew this picture. She sat down, got out her supplies with the intent to draw something to enter into a local art show. The pictures will be sold and 50% of the proceeds go to the local shelters. She loves animals and thought this would be a good cause. As you can see, the results are breathtaking.

She is 12.

I have never been so proud of her. What makes me proud is not her ability to draw, paint, sketch or whatever she puts her mind to. What makes me proud of her is realization that the critics in this world will judge her. They will question her ability. They will grill her on her technique and belittle her process. Adults who should be encouraging.

I am thankful that she is surrounded by positive adults, positive role models that encourage her. So that when we go to the art show, she will stand up, hold her head high, and explain in her calm, confident way, exactly what her process is, and why she chose the medium that she did.

Because of this, and so much more, I know she will go far to reach her goals in life. She is an Artist. And I am so very proud!

Have a wonderful day!

American Girl Doll Loft Bed

Good morning!
I am hoping for more sun today. Yesterday started gloomy and ended up sunny with doors open. Crazy January we are having.
We spent part of our day yesterday making an American Girl doll loft bed out of a metal wall shelf and some fun fabric. My youngest loved it.
Hope your day is sunny!

DIY Magazine Holders

I have a lot of magazines and they are not always the prettiest things to store.
I love this idea of magazine holders. I made 6, but I am going to make some more. They are great.

Mrs Meyers Time

Good Morning! Happy Friday!
So much to do. Working on some to-dos around the house. Curtains for my Girls' room, more de-cluttering, selling online and maybe some baking.
Feeling so good that the weekend is almost here.
I am also really excited that I found some of my favorite cleaning products on sale at a local hardware store.
Some old favorites and some new scents as well.
Have a wonderful day!

Insta-pot Pressure Cooker Chicken Quarters

Good Morning!
Last night I cooked Chicken quarters in my Insta-pot Pressure cooker. YUM!
They turned out perfect.
We got a great deal on Chicken quarters yesterday and I debated on whether to cook them in the oven in a trusty cooking bag or try the pressure cooker. I have only used it for roasts up to this point. But I decided after much internet research, to try it.
I love this machine.
Here is what I did:
1. add a tsp oil to pot
2. generously season each quarter (mine were pre-seasoned, but I added some salt and pepper as well)
3. Brown each quarter, both sides
4. after all pieces are browned, add onion to the pot with left over oil, cook for a bit till onion see through.
5. Mix together 1 1/2 cup of water, Tbsp of Apple cider vinegar, and I added a Tbsp of Chicken Boullion powder.
6. Pour into pot, add chicken, close up pot.
Pressurize and select your chicken setting.
7. Cook for 30 min. Check after 30, if not tender enough, cook for 10 more minutes.
Serve.
So good!
Have a great day!

Back To School

Back to School today for my girls. Ready for the second semester.
Funny how fast the year flies by after Christmas break.
I am going to enjoy winter for a small bit before I will be dreaming of Spring.
Have a wonderful day!
