Hello, Happy Tuesday. I have been enjoying some images from my favorite movie, Practical Magic. 

This house and its contents are my dream. I hope one day to have something similar to this.

Cabbage Soup... YUM

         

Tomato Cabbage Vegetable Soup
Makes one big pot of soup, feeds my family of four for at least two meals.
Ingredients -

• 9 cups of water
• 1 medium yellow onion, diced
• 2 tablespoons dried dill weed
• 5 medium carrots, peeled and cut into coins (4 cups chopped)
• 5 ribs of celery, chopped ( 3 cups chopped)
• 1 small head of green cabbage, chopped
  (8 cups)
• 3-4 round tablespoons vegetable bouillon powder
• 1 (796 ml) can diced tomatoes
• 1 (540 ml) can mixed beans or red kidney beans

Directions
Bring the water to boil in large pot. Add the onion and dill and boil a few minutes to bring out the flavor. Add the chopped carrots and celery and boil for 5-10 minutes, until beginning to soften then add the cabbage and boil 5 minutes more until all the vegetables are soft. Finally, add the vegetable bouillon powder, tomatoes and beans. Reduce heat and simmer a few minutes more to bring the flavors together. Serve with quick-rise whole wheat bread.

I am continuing with my Springtime review. I am loving the idea of Cargo Capri's and Maxi Skirts this spring. Long enough to keep the chili breeze at bay, but short and airy enough to make me feel springy. I love love love the polka dotted sneakers from Cath Kidston!!!

While I was Pinning Yesterday, I came across this wonderful sign. I think I need this hanging in my house right now. 

It would be the perfect thing to remind me that Spring is right around the corner. I have noticed a damp fresh smell lately when I walk outside. The birds are back and chirping outside when I open my eyes in the morning. And there is a sense of renewal happening.

I am always and forever in love with Cath Kidston and Greengate, and I am happy to see that more is becoming available in the USA. Its hard to get these items and some companies seem to be copying the colors and patterns. I am able to find some similar ideas at places like Target and Pottery Barn.

Valentines Day Recap...

Hello!  Happy Friday. I know its been a week since Valentines Day, but I felt I should do a quick recap before I start posting about springy things. Ha Ha. 

We are finally starting to thaw. Things are melting, the rain boots are making an appearance... for puddle stomping you know. And I am already planning on digging out bubbles, sidewalk chalk and kites. Yep, its starting to feel like spring. Oh there will still be plenty of snow storms, but these are the kind that melt fast. I am happy to say the birds are singing and the air smells clean and fresh. 

We are having our besties over today and while the big girls are taking a hip hop dance class (so fun), the rest of us girls are gonna hang out.

Hello Monday!

Kids back to school. Sitting on the couch with coffee and catching up with my dvr shows. 

I actually love Mondays....

and I am actually enjoying all the snow we have gotten lately. It really feels like a blanket all around us. For a moment, I am going to enjoy the stillness.
