Ladybugs...

Hello, happy Thursday!

I love summertime, and one of the things that are great about summertime is Ladybugs. We love them. I am all for good bugs anyday. Not like mosquitos and stink bugs, which we seem to have alot of right now. These pictures were from about a month ago when we purchased and released lots of lady bugs throughout our yard. We even saw them for a few days before they left, or the birds ate them all.

Summer Time at the Lake

Last week we spent a wonderful day at the lake. The girls swam (the water was very chilly, all that runoff snow), while a friend and I sat out in the sun and enjoyed the view and the warmth. Can't wait to do it again this week.

The Renaissance Festival and a Happy 39th Birthday to me!

Hello, happy Monday!  We had such a fun weekend. I loved it. My Birthday was on Friday and we spent the weekend with cake, garage saleing, and ended it with a day at the Renaissance festival. It was soooo much fun. It was made even greater with the addition of our very good friends. The girls had a blast and my hubby even seemed to enjoy it. I am so glad we could experience it together.

New Greengate Catalog... Winter 2013

Hello, happy Friday! We had a great visit today with our best friends. It was a fun day of sunshine, and good food. Now I am happily dreaming about the new Winter Greengate Catalog for 2013... oooohh aaaahh!

White Lilacs....

Thanks to my wonderful Father in Law, we have beautiful White Lilacs in our home. I can smell them as soon as I walk in the door. 

I also got some cute new tealight holders as IKEA. 

I think Summertime is starting off pretty great!

Snowcones... and a visit!

Good Morning. Today we are heading off to a friends house for a visit. I am planning a yummy treat for the kids (and us). I cant wait.

Crabapple Blooms...

Happy Monday! My Pink Crabapple tree is in full bloom. It is so full of flowers that the branches are just drooping with their weight. I'm thinking of cutting a few for a vase inside, after the wind dies down a little. These pics are from this morning, right now its a windstorm outside.

What a gorgeous day! We are enjoying the wonderful weather. Think I am going to make some lemonade. There are some great ones on pinterest.

Happy Tuesday....

Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. Ours was full of coming and going. We spent alot of time outside. Lots of flower planting, yard cleaning, playing and marshmallow roasting. We flew kites, played in the sprinklers, ate popsicles and just had a great time. We have one more week of school left, which looks to be a full week and then we are done for another year. With everything going on, it really couldnt happen soon enough for me.  Its time to have some space from everyone who robs me of all my sanity and joy. I am sorry to say that it happens, but it does. I don't know why so many choose to live their lives full of drama and lies, but it is they who have to live with them. For now, I choose to focus on me, my family and my close friends. Lets get this show on the road and close this chapter in our lives.

Summers right around the corner...

Hello, happy Wednesday. I don't know about where you are, but around here, we have a very wet end of Winter, which we lovingly call "Spring". And then we catapult into Summer. It is all very fast. But we still get the cold evenings until 4th of July. It has been very common for us in the past to be sitting outside watching fireworks in blankets and coats. Today was a very nice warm Summery day. We spent part of it at school for field day, then my oldest daughter felt sick so we left. But we still finished out picnic outside. It was lovely. 

Everyone feels better now. But I am glad we could spend the afternoon together.

Baskets Blankets and Owls....

My kids are always tossing my pillows and blankets off of the couch. So I set up this vintage laundry basket to hold what is not in use. I love it.

Fun Paper Goodies....

Happy Friday! 

Just wanted to post more organizing goodies. This time its my paper goods. Fun toothpicks, napkins, cupcake holders and other goodies. 

I love that I can spruce up the simplest of lunches with some fun whimsical goodies. 

And this cabinet is another one that just makes me smile.

 We are headed out to our good friend's house to visit, celebrate, and welcome spring. Just might take in a garage sale or two.
