I have been saying that I am going to make pillows for our new bed and valances for the windows and various other projects...
and then FINALLY today, I got the chance to sit down and do these projects that I want to do...
And I think they turned out beautiful. I am so happy with the results. I realize these are pretty easy projects, but for the sewing novice that I am, these are super big accomplishments. 
This valance is a little hard to see because of the sun comming through the window, but it turned out perfect as well.
