Flying high... Glad to be home...

We are so very happy to be home. Hubbies surgery went well, pathology came back clear...

And hope is back on track.

I look forward to getting back to life. 

So very very happy to be home.

Summer Cleaning

Loving my little coffee station. Had to fit my Greengate in there as well. 

Plus, the wind decided to bend my pretty little peony. So she had to come inside. Oh well. We will enjoy here here.

We are heading out today. Flying out to Chicago. 

 I don't know about you, but when I know I am going out of town, I go on a cleaning spree. Especially since I know my mom is going to be staying with my kids here. Ha ha.

My husband always refers to it as preparing for inspection.

But it just feels good knowing I am leaving the house clean. Plus, its less that I have to do when we get back.

Happy Monday.

Busy busy day cleaning and packing. Heading out to Chicago tomorrow for hubby's surgery.

I have been working so hard getting all my to-do's done before leaving. Our girls are hanging with Grandparents while we are gone so I wanted them to have lots to do.

My single pink peony finally bloomed. Weeks after all the others in town. She waited until they all started wilting and falling apart and finally showed us how pretty she is. 

Totally worth the wait.

Hello, Happy Thursday!

Busy busy day. Heading out for Dentist appointments and then coming home to finish putting up our pool and inflating rafts. 

Summer is just ticking along. Days are finally reaching the 90's. Gotta mow grass, de-clutter the house and start prepping for a garage sale. Before that though, I really gotta hang out and do nothing. Thats what summer is all about, right?

In the meantime, like the hottest part of the day, I am gonna dream of Greengate. I am loving everything blue lately. I am looking forward to going on a road trip to my besties new house. I am so anxious for her to move. Closer. Closer is good.

Weekend Ready

Happy Saturday! All is good. Hubs is home from Chicago. Gonna need surgery again for Metastatic Liver Cancer, thought we were done, but obviously not. Heading that way in a few weeks to finish up this business and hopefully get on with our lives. Had about enough of this Cancer stuff. Until then. I am gonna enjoy Summer!

Furry Little Visitors

We had some fun little furry visitors yesterday.

Stray mama cat and 4 babies. 

My girls are beyond excited. We are hoping shes just a stray, not feral. But only time will tell. They already seem to be getting used to us. Just want to play and cuddle. 

Watch out mice. Kitties are on the prowl.
