Hello!
Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
I am cooking up a storm. Trying to get as much done today as possible. Makes me a little bit sweeter tomorrow. Ha Ha.
My girls are happily watching Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and folding up gift boxes from a kit.
Coffee is steaming out of my cup and candles are lit. Its windy and blustery outside and I couldn't be happier to be inside.
I am planning some different stuff this year for Thanksgiving. Some new traditions if you will.
One of them, I have decided to let my girls each pick a dish to be in charge of. They are sooo excited. My oldest has picked Deviled eggs. They are her favorite for two reasons. The first and most important is they were her Aunts signature dish that she always brought to the Thanksgiving table. We lost her last month at the young age of 46 from Cancer, and I couldn't be prouder of my girl wanting to carry on this tradition. The second reason... they are Yummy!
The secret ingredient... horseradish mustard. Yum
My youngest is taking on the relish tray. She love, love, loves pickles and olives so this was the best dish for her.
I am so excited that they want to help.
Another one of the new things I am trying, is mashed potatoes in the crock pot. I know, sounds iffy, but It looks great to me. Ha ha. Anything to make my morning easier.
I hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful, full of gratitude and family and friends.
