~ Tilda Fabric and other fun stuff ~

Happy Thursday! Today is our last day of school. It is sure to be an emotional day. We love our teacher and will be sad to say goodbye to 2nd grade.  I just thought I would post about my new Tilda fabric. It was supposed to be a curtain in the kitchen, but it was too aqua, so now its just a table runner. Also, wanted to show my pink table runner that my good friend gave me a while back (when I was taking a blog break). It is so much fun using pink and blue together, but I am sure my hubby will wonder why the house is starting to look like an ice cream parlor soon.

~ Last Week of School ~

Today we had a picnic in the park with my oldest daughters class. Tomorrow is the last day of school and while I am ready for Summer, I will really miss her teacher.

Greenhouse Geraniums...

The school greenhouse was great. I posted about my peonies on Monday, but totally forgot about these pink beauties. They are huge, too huge for my Ikea pots. So I think they will be transplanted outside soon. Also, see my cute chickens? The closest I am going to get to live ones for a while. The were my grandmothers, they wind up. Love them.

Greengate, Cookies and FarmChicks

Just wanted to say happy Tuesday and show you some fun items I am enjoying right now. I posted awhile back about my wonderful Greengate tins that I ordered and wanted to show you. I filled them with these wonderful vanilla cookies... (homemade ones to come soon ;)) and I always love looking at my Farmchicks books. And you can sort of see my new blue walls in the background. I am very happy with how its all coming along. 

Now I am off to start a very busy week of last days of school. I think there is an activity every day this week.

~ New Peonies ~

Happy Memorial Day. Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was exhausting, but good. We did great at the Flea yesterday, and the weather was wonderful. I have my new peonies that I bought last week at our schools greenhouse. Super excited about planting them as soon as it stops freezing. So they are hanging out in the house for now.

Pretty Fabric

As summer gets near, I keep thinking of fun projects I would like to work on. Table runners, new curtains, and a very ambitious goal, maybe a quilt... gasp. However, the fabrics that I am obsessed with happen to be hard to come by. I love the European designers the best like Tilda, Cath Kidston, Greengate, Pip Studio and Cabbages and Roses. Every once in a while I am able to get a piece here or there, but its slim at best. So I will keep scouring the local craft stores for something similar. Enjoy the pretty colors. Happy Friday! Hope you are kicking off a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! We are gearing up for lots of garage sales and flea markets and unfortunatly fighting colds. Lately I have been thinking hard about finding some pink or turquoise (or both) pyrex. So pretty in candy colors. Maybe this weekend.

Lunch and Geraniums...

Today was wonderful. I am hot, sunburned and tired and I couldn't be happier. My best friend treated me to a wonderful lunch in her beautiful house full of lovely geraniums and then we sat on the back porch while the little girls played and enjoyed the sun. It was the most wonderful day. Thank you friend! With all the hectic stuff going on, it was great to just sit and visit and enjoy. 

I am so lucky to have you.

All About Muffins Lately...

This morning I am anxiously running around, getting ready for a dance rehearsal.
I am crazy obsessed with muffins lately. I have been hunting for different, but simple muffin recipes to delight my family. These look yummy.

~ New Dishes... 2nd option ~

Hello. Happy Thursday. I know a while back I posted about my new dinnerware choice. However, while I do LOVE it, my budget does not. So... enter IKEA! I have found my wonderful second option. I love it just as much and am excited about the much lower price. I think its going to be just what I want.  Gotta love Ikea.

Scentsy

By now I am sure everyone in blogland has heard of Scentsy and if not, you should find a consultant near you. I love scentsy. It is easy, no fire, no mess, great. The scents are wonderful. This blue plugin is next on my list if it is still available. I also really want the scent buddy lamb for my bed. Super cute.

Blueberries...

Lately, I have been really craving blueberry baked goods. I am obsessed with them on Pinterest. All that oozy goodness. Since I started a new diet, which I am supposed to avoid sugar for about 30 days, its all I can think about... I guess I will have to be happy with looking. I just have to keep hearing my good friend (in my head) say " it will be there when your done". And shes right, and the 12 lbs I have lost for summer is well worth it.

New Dishes...

I have been looking for new dishes for a while now. Although I have seen quite a few patterns that I liked, I just didnt love them, or they were out of my price range, or just not practical for a family with small children.  So today I wandered onto the Pfaltzgraff website and found these.  I LOVE this pattern. I think I have hubby talked into it but need to sell my current dishes. Ebay here I come. Hope you are having a great day!

Ikea Dreaming....

Lately I have been dreaming of a new couch. And not just any couch, the Ektorp Sofa from Ikea. I would love the white one or the floral one if my Hubby would go for it. I love the style, the size, everything about it. Ofcourse the living room would then be a no food no drink area, but I think I can live with that and the Family will have to too. Oh well, someday.

~ Flea Market Carts ~

Hello, Happy Monday!

 Hope everyone had a great weekend. I would have posted earlier, but I had to run errands. Now that those are finished, I wanted to post about my latest endeavor. I am making liners for my Flea Market cart and for my Bicycle basket. I am super excited about it. We have also decided to attend a large Flea Market in the big city in 3 weeks and I am going to sell a few of these pretty shopping carts. I cant wait.
