Springtime Wardrobe Staples...

I am continuing with my Springtime review. I am loving the idea of Cargo Capri's and Maxi Skirts this spring. Long enough to keep the chili breeze at bay, but short and airy enough to make me feel springy. I love love love the polka dotted sneakers from Cath Kidston!!!

While I was Pinning Yesterday, I came across this wonderful sign. I think I need this hanging in my house right now. 

It would be the perfect thing to remind me that Spring is right around the corner. I have noticed a damp fresh smell lately when I walk outside. The birds are back and chirping outside when I open my eyes in the morning. And there is a sense of renewal happening.

I am always and forever in love with Cath Kidston and Greengate, and I am happy to see that more is becoming available in the USA. Its hard to get these items and some companies seem to be copying the colors and patterns. I am able to find some similar ideas at places like Target and Pottery Barn.

Valentines Day Recap...

Hello!  Happy Friday. I know its been a week since Valentines Day, but I felt I should do a quick recap before I start posting about springy things. Ha Ha. 

We are finally starting to thaw. Things are melting, the rain boots are making an appearance... for puddle stomping you know. And I am already planning on digging out bubbles, sidewalk chalk and kites. Yep, its starting to feel like spring. Oh there will still be plenty of snow storms, but these are the kind that melt fast. I am happy to say the birds are singing and the air smells clean and fresh. 

We are having our besties over today and while the big girls are taking a hip hop dance class (so fun), the rest of us girls are gonna hang out.

Hello Monday!

Kids back to school. Sitting on the couch with coffee and catching up with my dvr shows. 

I actually love Mondays....

and I am actually enjoying all the snow we have gotten lately. It really feels like a blanket all around us. For a moment, I am going to enjoy the stillness.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Sunday

If you are a chocolate lover, these are for you!! Rich and delicious.

Ingredients

2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups of milk (whole preferred)
2 large eggs, beaten
1/3 cup vegetable oil
6 Tbsp. cold black coffee
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus 1/3 cup additional of chocolate chips for sprinkling

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare muffin tin with paper muffin liners.

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. In another large bowl, add the milk and oil, whisk together. Whisk in beaten eggs. Whisk in cold coffee and vanilla extract.
Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ones, only mix until all ingredients are combined, do not over mix.
Gently fold in the 1 cup of chocolate chips into the batter. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin pan. Sprinkle tops of muffins with additional chocolate chips.
Bake in the oven about 18 minutes. Let the muffins rest 10 minutes before eating.

Makes about 18 muffins.

Crazy Happy Panini Love...

Yay!!!

The weekend is here. Saturday Morning. I am so happy to be sitting here with my coffee and everyone is still asleep. I decided I need to be getting up an hour before everyone to get my peace of mind in order. No Mommy this or mommy that until a decent hour. So now I am taking this time to blog and enjoy the silence...

which every mom knows, does not last long. 

Today, I am hoping to get in some shopping. I am planning my grocery list. I have to admit, it contains lots of ingredients for yummy Panini's ( a recent love thanks to my bestie for introducing me to this wonderful machine), and smoothies. (yesterdays post!!!)

I love simple kitchen gadgets.

Magic....Smoothies!

Hello, Happy Happy Friday!

I am thrilled with todays post. This summer, my husband and I picked up a wonderful tool. A Magic Bullet. I am ashamed to say that as soon as I got home I washed it and stuck it in a cabinet. BUT... Yesterday I got it out and whipped up some great Strawberry, Banana smoothies. YUM. So now, today, the girls and I did some experimenting. My oldest daughter whipped up a great tropical fruit smoothie that she and my youngest shared. And I made a great Blueberry one. 

What a wonderful tool. And so much easier to use and for my girls to use than a normal blender. 

I Love it.
